The A-Town Throw Down is currently accepting staff applications for Teachers, Associate Instructors, and Interns!

 

Two Workshops One App!

 

Your application for the 2026 A-Town Throw Down can also double as your application for the 2026 Brawl of America. Our workshops are once again the same weekend, and in discussions of how to make it easier for applicants, we have aligned our needs to only need you to do one application! The main thing is when you submit, be sure to send it to the correct email! If applying to both, send it to both workshops. If only one, just send it to us or the Brawl. It’s that easy!

Positions Available: All

 

Levels of positions: Instructor, Associate Instructor, Intern

 

For Instructor positions please only apply if you are a CT, FD, or FM (or equivalent).

Associate Instructors- Assist in classes, and possible teaching opportunity of one class. You will be part of our Associate Instructor program if selected. Please contact us if you would like more details as to what this entails.

​

Interns- Run armory, airport pick-ups, pair-in in uneven classes, take weapons to their spaces, etc.

In the email, please provide the following information:

 

1.      Let us know what position(s) you are applying for and a short message about why you would like to                  work at the A-Town Throw Down.

​

2.     Your stage combat resume. Make sure to include current weapon certifications/ experience.

​

3.     How you plan on getting to the workshop (driving/flying, local, etc). Include where you would be                        traveling from.

 

 

If you are applying for Associate Instructor, please also include:

4.    Proposals for three different classes you would be interested in teaching at the workshop. Please give             us the name of the class and a ONE sentence description.

The A-Town Throw Down will be May 22nd-24th, but staff will be there from 5:00pm on the 21st until the evening of the 24th or the morning of the 25th, depending on travel arrangements.
